Since 1st of August, 2002 the Vossloh-Schwabe Group has been part of the Japanese Panasonic Electric Works Group. Panasonic employs 46,000 people with annual net sales of 10 billion USD and is represented worldwide by more than 200 companies and organisations. In addition to lighting systems and components for lighting application Panasonic also produces home appliances, technical building products, electronic components and devices for laboratories.
Within the Panasonic Group Vossloh-Schwabe as a self-contained trademark is responsible for the global extension of the business unit „components for lighting applications“. With over 1,327 employees and more than twenty-five production plants and sales offices worldwide, Vossloh-Schwabe is one of the biggest international oriented companies in the Panasonic Group. |

After very successful years as an integral member of the Panasonic Electric Works PEW Lighting Division, Vossloh-Schwabe is now also influenced by the impact of the global, financial and economical crisis. Despite negative forecasts for the global lighting business, VS will continue to invest in new, innovative and regionally adapted lighting components, as well as in enhanced education of our staff in order to further improve the service for our customers worldwide.
