Innovative, Informative and Inspiring: VS at Light+Building 2010
As a regular exhibitor at Light+Building – the world’s largest trade exhibition for lighting technology – Vossloh-Schwabe was naturally also represented at this year’s event, which set a new visitor record by attracting more than 180,000 people. The VS stand alone drew over 1,000 visitors, all of whom were competently looked after by our international team of VS specialists. The exhibition theme for 2010 centred around sustainable and energy-efficient solutions that are set to become both increasingly widespread and ever more important in the future. The new design of the VS stand put the focus on our comprehensive range of solutions. Three separate display areas featuring VS HID, fluorescent and LED lamp technology for life in general, for school and university as well as for retail applications served to show a variety of real-life applications in combination with actual luminaires made by VS customers. Further exhibition highlights included warm and cool white OLEDs (Organic Light Emitting Diodes), which VS will shortly begin retailing under the Panasonic trade name of the parent company, as well as the smart new DALI facility light management system featuring a controller, multi-sensor and extender.

VS at Lightfair Internation in NYC
It has been 2 years since NYC hosted Lightfair International (LFI) and despite the economic woes and "swine-flu" fear the show was well attended by both attendees and exhibitors. The three day show had 23,000+ registered attendees, setting record attendance and featured 475 exhibitors from around the world. LFI showcased a variety of lighting products but it was evident that LED technology was what the people wanted to see and as such the exhibitors did not disappoint. Vossloh-Schwabe (VS) was well represented with a 135 sqm space that highlighted their vast LED offering, encompassing LED modules as well as the new line of UL approved LED drivers for the North American market. Lighting designers, architects and engineers, to name a few, were drawn into the booth by a substantially large powered LED wall. LED technology was definitely popular but VS, known for offering a complete range of high performance lighting components, presented many other products such as a line of ‘micro’ sized low-wattage electronic ballasts and lampholders for a variety of lamps. All in all, the show was deemed a success not only for LFI´s record attendance but by the constant flow of booth traffic VS received. It was clear, VS is highly regarded in the lighting industry and when today’s lighting professional see the Vossloh-Schwabe name they think of superior-quality & high-performance products that are second to none.

Held from 9 to 12 December 2008 and attended by roughly 18,500 trade visitors, this specialist international fair for lighting, lighting technology and intelligent facility technology was already held for the 14th time this year. As one of the world´s leading manufacturers of lighting technology, our 33-square-metre stand was well frequented. Light designers, architects, urban planners and decision-makers in the Russian lighting industry all came to the stand to talk to the VS stand crew. But more than that: orders came in even during the fair and we were thus able to secure several projects for the future. All of our VS components were presented on brand new Russian-language wall charts and our new touch screen systems.
